Default Leaving city light bulbs out?

I have done quite a bit of searching on this subject but haven't come up with a definate answer. Like many others, I hate how the city lights look when the hid's are on. Many people have gone with led's or similar but have experienced decreased bulb life or non matching color. There doesn't seem to be a bulb or led out there that will match the color of the factory low beam hid's. Has anyone just removed the city light bulbs and left the socket empty? This is what I am thinking of doing so I only have the low beams and fogs on at night. My main question is will it hurt anything by not having a bulb in those sockets? I don't want to potentially damage my electrical system but this seems like the only option at this point.

Thanks

I haven't had my parking lights in for about 3 months and everything is fine. On a side note, I'm not sure who started calling these things 'city lights' but we need to get out of that habit. Lexus calls them 'parking lights,' we should refer to them as such.

FYI - Piaa Xtreme white plus 194 is a perfect match for the OEM hids . . .

Yep those do match, i have a pair on my desk, only problem with those is that they fire forward and dont 'fill' the reflector, you have your hids and 2 points of lite only.

I think I get what you're saying, do you have before and after shots of your piaas & refractor leds to show the difference ???

Both the 168 and 194 will work right? I didn't see the 194 on piaa's sight

^ Oops, yeah its the Piaa 168 that you want, they're interchangeable with 194s. Make sure to get the Xtreme White plus if you wanna match the OEM Hids. Same bulbs fit in the puddle lamps, vanity lights, front door courtesy lamps and front dome light . . .
