for the most parts thats the best i could gather, those are the only real ways to justify the increase in responsiveness that you get after properly performing the seafoam treatment.

I don't know if it's a MUST or anything, but I would definately recommend it to all of my buddies.

 

I never replaced the spark plugs after I did Seafoam on the ML. I did half in the crank case and half in the brake booster line. I'm a believer. Idle is noticeably smoother and much quieter. I might try and get BG44K next time although I think you have to be a dealer/professional to get it from them directly.

What about putting it in the fuel? I also saw something about putting it in the oil?

 

Anyway to do this by yourself or is two people a must. I know if you put the seafoam into brake booster line the car turns off. Anyway to still this by yourself?

 

I would imagine so -- I haven't taken a look at the engine bay , but if there is any linkage to the Throttle by the Throttle body so you could manually 'rev' the engine by moving the TB linkage then that would cover the person being in the car.

I think having two people just makes it ALOT easier

 

I don't think the LS would have too much of a chance stalling. My 3.2L V6 didn't had any trouble sucking the Seafoam and I never had to have my friend rev it. Not once did it even bog down or even hint at it when I took the brake booster line out and when I started sucking it.

However, your results may vary.

 

So what are these rumors about putting seafoam in via PCV, fuel, and oil?

 

I know you can put it in your crankcase (oil), gastank (fuel), and obviously in the booster safely. However, I think with the fuel and crankcase using a very small amount would be wise.

I'm curious -- by allowing it to get into the system via the brake booster, is this simply a non invasive way to get the seafoam into the 'system'?

Just curious as to that method vs say in your fuel , (or tapping into the fuel line in the engine bay as if you were doing a fuel treatment drip).

 

I know skp sucked his in through a hole he made in the intake, if anyone else has done this a picture would be greatly appreciated.

 

Shouldn't the true test of seafoam be to check & see if you still produce white smoke after the procedure?

I did use Seafoan recently & believe it made things run smooter.
The density of the white cloud was impressive & alarming to my neighbors.

To date I have done fuel & intake. I have never used it in the oil.

 

i just did seafoam to my es30, 5.5 oz in the vacum line, and only got like 5-10 seconds of smoke, i let the car sit for 10 min as well. did i do something wrong??

 

I let mine sit for about 20min. and smoke will vary depending on how dirty your engine is.

How many miles are on your car? Mine had about 138k not very well maintained miles.
