Default 98 Ls400 Starter

Does anyone know where the starter is located in the 1998 LS 400?

GRAND,
Great job! Thanks for your earlier post on changing the starter. I just finished reading it, hoping to never need it.

Thank you sir. Hope you never use it, I also hope you never have to hear a dealer quote you the price for such repair

Its really not that bad, but most of my problems was not having the right tools, or waiting on parts to arrive in the mail. If I had to do it again, I would do it in 20% of the time it originally took me, as i was working on egg shells, so I wouldn't break or damage anything.

I do understand about the time thing, and also the egg shells. It's like a doctor (first, do no wrong). I, too, hope I never need it, but am glad to know you put it there for us.

yeah, as a lot of pipes, adn sensors are easy to break in that area. Being rarely replaced, they could get every expensive.
