Default Rebuilding 90-97 LS400 Power Steering Pump

[SIZE=3]Is there anybody out there that has created a business where by i ship them a used power steering pump along with a rebuild kit and receive back a good to go unit? It's a re-manufacturing task i cannot take on myself and would seem to be a good alternative to purchasing a new unit.

use the region forums and the search function to find a good local Mechanic OR Machine Shop to do it for you

Might be difficult to find one locally (Daytona Beach) but it can easily be shipped anywhere to be repaired and returned...a little extra down time to be sure but a 2nd vehicle does come in handy

Why not just get a remanufactured one for under $200. Rebuilt kit is what? $50.00 or so. Shipping back and fourth plus labor $$$, close to $200 if not more. Save yourself the hassle.

pskits.com sells a rebuild kit for 11 bucks and they claim it's the same one re-builders use...is it necessary to pay 3x the amount and purchase one from Lexus?

Thanks...i've seen that detailed post and i'm just not set up to do (space or tool wise) the rebuild project...I'd love to ship the pump along with a rebuild kit to a qualified person and get it done at a reasonable price...like i said earlier time is not much of a factor since i do have a back-up vehicle. What would be a fair price for someone's labor and how long would the rebuild take?

OK bottom line...I have a PS pump and a rebuild kit....Now who out there can do the work for a reasonable fee? or barter goods for your labor?
