Default Trunk Lock

Has anyone ever had any problems with their trunk lock "locking up". I can only use the inside lever to pop the trunk. I took out the lock mechanism and it looks all corroded. How much do you think the mechanism would be from lexus? thanks

Sorry I didnt get back to this sooner... I was told by lexus that the locked needed replacing and instead took it apart and found that a small piece of plastic jambed into the lock mechanism. The plastic was the tip off of the lexus emblem that was located above the lock. What i found out later from a locksmith that this is sort of common if the trim has been removed for factory reinstallation, damage repair, gold or nickle plating etc...sometimes the pins break off as the trim is removed and then drop into the lock mechanism and can jamb it. I did not have any corrosion

It was done at AUTOSPORTS in the Bronx. I paid $250 for the alarm with keyless entry, auto start, and remote trunk release. If u want u can get a keyless entry system and a remote trunk relase system for under $75 at some stores. ITs not that hard to hook up. Its always good to get the pros to do things like these. And i got a lifetime warrantee.
