Default was does the monument light mean on the dash?

I have a 1994 LS 400 and I have a light that comes on every once in awhile on the dash. I do not have a manual or I would look it up. It is a yellow light that is shaped like a monument building. (pillars with a roof) I don't know what it means. Can anyone look in there manual and let me know. Much appreciated.

I wonder why they chose that symbol for coolant temp. How many people are going to make that connection?

It's actually a radiator. It's not so much temperature as it's for level of coolant.
Let the engine cool down, pop the radiator cap off and fill up the radiator with more coolant. Don't drive around with it low on coolant especially in the Summer.

My car flashes the "monument" light every now and then, just make sure your coolant level is ok. If it really bothers you i dont think the sensor is too expensive

As a precaution to make sure it's not just a sensor:
Does this happen during hard cornering? If it does I would suggest checking the levels and if it seems full maybe a coolant drain and fill. There could be some clogs. If levels are low, check for leaks, even small ones.

If it is the sensor and you don't feel like changing it, be careful of the engine temp. As if at some point you really are low on coolant you could overheat.

If you are really low on coolant fluid, you'll notice that your heater won't work, or will be very less effective.. you'll get mostly cold air.

Also, if you are REALLY REALLY very low, you'll notice that your engine temp stays around the middle, but if you floor it/ accelerate hard, you will immediately see the engine temp gauge rise to almost the top, and slowly come down as you cruise--this is a sign you need a LOT of coolant fluid.

That light comes on if your coolant is just a little low I change my coolant every two years and I have my auto shop man drain the block and radiator I use the Toyota coolant red plastic bottle and distilled water. my 1991 lexus has the original hoses and radiator and no problems when you use distilled water it keeps down rust and mineral build up in the engine system. I have to say that I am astonished how long the hoses and radiator have gone.
