Unhappy Removing rear seat bottom

OK guys the new leather seats showed up today, and I'm fighting with the head rests and now I'm ready to do the back seat. My repair manual says lift the front of the rear seat and slide forward to remove. Well the rear bottom cushion in my 92 LS400 just doesnt want to come up. There are two black tabs at the floor and seat intersection in the back seat. I dont know what they are for. Anyway, I know someone has some helpful hints. I would appreciate one. Thanks in advance. I took some digital pics before I started. I will post before and afters.

Default New Leather Seats

Got my friend to help on the other side of the seat and some thin crow bars and it came up. Whew I didnt think it was in that tight. There is some sort of clip that fastens it to the body and I guess just muscling it will get it up. I got the leather off my back rear bottom seat and tried to hog ring the new leather in as per original. Extremely difficult! I went out today and found an upholstery guy that said import cars need special hog ring pliers. Two types of angled pliers. They will be here Thursday, will see how that goes. Did the front arm rest today, and it looks good. Hope to finish this weekend.

Are these factory Lexus leather surfaces, meaning did you remove ALL of the originals? Any pics and where did you get them, from the dealer?

These are custom sewn kits by Katzin leather. I removed the original leather from the factory and replaced it with this kit. the leather quality on t;he kit is an order of magnitude nicer than the original. It gives it a much richer look. I was going to post pics, but I am leaving for Hawaii @ 0300 in the AM. I will post pics, after about the 25th of this month. You can buy the kit from leatherseats.com or autoaccessories r us. They run $599 and $679 for the one I bought. This is the best money you will spend on your LS. Aloha!
