Woodgrain dash kit or not?
My 90 LS 400 is basically stock w/ a few semi stock but tasteful additions. 1. Very mirror like chrome wheels very similar to the chrome sc400 wheels 2. Gold package and 3. Dark tinted glass. These additions look very elegant on a highly polished black/charcoal LS 400 in cherry condition.
At this point in my life I have no desire for further exterior modding. (In fact, I wish I had all the money back that I spent in my teen years rodding my 70 Cuda). I went through that phase, and now at 44 years of age a cherry, perfectly maintained, classic(soon to be possibly) Lexus LS 400 suits me.
On to my question......I have been seriously considering the enhanced woodgrain dash kits that are available. In the photos they look very nice and appear to match the factory wood. I say appear because there is now way to get a real close view.
1. Has anyone installed this kit? Your thoughts on how it turned out?
2. If it had to be removed for some reason in the future, would/could you get the original black plastic fascia back in perfect condition?
3. Any thoughts on which brand has the best kit?
Thx in advance.........

DL,
Try this http://www.exoticwooddash.com/makesmodels.htm
for wood kits, I am considering the same thing.... hopefully soon.
I added a tint, 18" wheels & Tires an amp/subs to the Lexus Nakamichi sound system.
Let me know what you decide.
