Default Check Engine Light - Code PO763

1999 Lexus LS400

Went to autozone to have the check-engine light diagnosed and it came back with a code PO763 (shift solenoid).

Anyone know what might be causing this or how to repair it? If not, I have to bring it to a dealer to have them check it out

TIA

P0763 Shift Solenoid C Electrical (not 'O' but 0)

most likely a chewed up wiring harness. also have it checked for dead solenoids when they open it up.

i had the same problem with my '99, cost me <800 with some other work w/parts to have it fixed at a well known independant shop out here. find one in ur area, im sure the NELOC forum can help you out.
