Default datasystems air ride controller question. URGENT!!

me and a friend just installed my air ride controller, but we can't get it to work. it turns on and everything, but we can't get the controller to show lower than about halfway. but it doesn't lower the car at all. we can make the controller show about halfway down, then it goes back to showing normal height on the controller.

is there anything special that i have to do to set up the controller to make it work?

Start by unplugging the controller and putting your car back to standard , this will tell you if it may be a problem with the car or the controller .
If the air sus works fine on the car then turn off the switch in the boot then disconnect the earth lead on the battery and install your controller , have a look at the male pins in the controller and on the air sus computer on the car to make sure no pins have been bent or broken , reconnect the battery , start the car then turn the switch in the boot back on , see how this goes and report back .

Well the next easiest thing to do is try the controller on another LS of the same year , then you will know for sure if it's the controller or the car .
