Well my gears in the Power antenna are stripped and I need a new one. I found a new OEM version for $215. I started to search for a 1992 Camry part and it is HALF!

Will it work??

 

All you likely need is a $20 antenna mast with toothed cable. You will likely need to disassemble the motor housing to replace--a little elbow grease, but much cheaper.

Do a quick search on this forum--should be many links to it.

 

I don't think a new mast will work. The gears that turn from the motor itself are thinnned to the point they don't catch.

 

I saw an aftermarket motor/mast assembly on ebay for the LS400 for 30 or 40 bucks...not sure of the quality though.
