LS400 owners post your wheel setup
I think he was just saying that you could chose from multiple factory lexus wheels from other years and models. The early ls430's came with 18 inch wheels factory, and the car still rides amazing! Not trying to push you to 18's, just saying. If you were to chose another factory 16inch wheel or even a 17inch, it would look like it fits better on the car. The Konig's that you have picked out, are not going to sit well with most around here. The thing is, is that they are a sporty design and are too small. Since they are a 16inch wheel, you will be running a taller sidewall. Sporty wheel design + taller sidewall = kinda a funny look. (IMO). In the end, it is your car and you are the one driving it.
To try and answer your question. I really don't think you will notice any major difference going from a 15 to a 16. As stated, any difference that you DO notice is going to come from the tire that you chose.

You can buy decent 17 and ok 18 tires for $500 if you look.
These are big body cars and not built for bombing up mountain passes or slicing through the cones at an autoX; so the gains you are likely going to feel the most are stopping and stability. Both will be noticeable in just about any low profile tire over a more stock like balloon.
And yes, sporty looking small wheels with big tires looks infinitely worse than even the ugliest stock wheels of the same size. At least with OEM wheels, even from newer and different models, they still have e Lexus logo on them so most people won't care and will generally accept them as stock even if they aren't.
And you can score some OEM take offs for next to nothing! Lots of guys have managed to pick up 18s with near new tires for ~$500 on C-list... I got a set of 06 GS430 with brand new tires for $400 and flipped them for $800. Just have to scoure the classifieds for a month or 2!
Again, don't pigeon-hole your self into a specific size based on budget or any preconceived notions you may have.
The right wheel for the right deal is out there, just have to be ready to jump on them when they pop up!
I put off the idea of being able to get the wheels I really wanted because new they were far more than I wanted to spend and used were typically more than I wanted to spend.
As luck would have it, i dug up an old thread on here and messages the seller who happened to still have them over a year after posting and I managed to scoop them up for, the upper end of what I was going to spend on much lesser wheels but still less than 1/2 of what they were new!
Look around do some more research and if you still want the konigs, by all means buy them. They will always be around for the price you are probably looking at, a good deal on something nicer may not!!

Hello everybody. This is Ed. Had my LS for 2 months now just got my wheels 19'' Advanti thought i'd share.https://www.clublexus.com/forums/att...1&d=1371323067
Probably not. If there is, please do not buy reps or fake splits.
Knock-off wheels are cheap for a reason. Might work on some broke kids Honda/VW but on big body cars, it is not worth wasting your money on.
Buy some quality wheels and don't look back or buy some more generic wheels that don't pretend to be something they are not!

Planning some new lips for my wheels. Was thinking of taking my 19x10 33et and 19x11 32et to 20x11 21et and 20x13 7.5et with some new step lips and barrels.
That's about 1.5mm less poke that Kaiyin's and a few other 12.5 0et set ups that have been posted, but I'm concerned with the amount of camber ill need to run. The 11" 32ets in the rear are already close to the uprights and shock body, if I have to run big camber, I don't think it will work...
How much camber and body work are you guys with ultra low Ets running and doing?

18 x 8 ASA wheels with 235/45/18 tires sitting on Tanabe DF210s. Ride is too bumpy so I plan to install some KYB GR2 Excel struts this weekend. Hopefully the ride improves.
