LS400 owners post your wheel setup
2. Please familiarize your self with the FAQ threads in this sub forum
3. You are quoting a person who posted in 2007, or 7 years ago... Probably not going to get a lot of help from him.
Perhaps details on your car and setup would shed more light on the problem. Same wheels alone means nothing with out what else you have done/specs of tires and wheels and drop and if your fenders are rolled or not...
I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a set of IS350 wheels.
F: 18x8 with 225/45/18
R: 18x8.5 with 255/40/18
I'm not sure on the offsets right now.
Also, I may as well ask the experts for input for best tire sizing on aftermarket wheels with specs: Front 18x8 (+35) and Rear 18x9 (+38)
These will be replacing the stock 205/65/15 on the 15x6.5 wheels and tires on there now. I'm not looking for stretch fit, but instead I prefer a more meaty look.
Thanks in advance!
I'll post pics whichever way I decide to go.

I picked up a set of wheels with dimensions: Front 18x8 (+35) and Rear 18x9 (+38) with no rubber.
I need help picking some good sized rubber that'll fit on my 1991 LS400. I tried on a buddy's set of 255/40/18 rears, which have a bigger diameter than my stockers, but they looked kinda small.
I'd kinda like to fill out the look of the wheel well with some rubber, but I don't want rubbing issues.
I see that the 1993-1994s run a 225/60/16, a significantly taller tire.
Can I run taller tires on my 1991 without much issue?
Or should I just stick with 225/45/18 front and 255/40/18 rears, which are both about 2% taller than my stockers, yet oddly look small on the car?
