Hi

I can not open it from inside unless the car is turned off...
What is wrong or have I missed something important?

happy LS 400-93 from Floda in Sweden

 

there is a lock between the boot (trunk) and gas door switches. if it's pushed in, the trunk cant be opened from inside the vehicle, you have to insert the key and quarter turn to the right to unlock it. but it has no correlation between the car running or not, maybe the euro market LS is different though...

 

You may have some wires on your trunk hinge broken.
