Default update

I got a call last week from the shop saying it wasn't running right.
This is after they had to go back in a second time and replace a Hydrolic tensioner somewhere. (Add some more $$ to the bill)

The guy asks me if it always ran OK.
I said yeah, that car is a CHAMPION!

Well, after another extra 200 dollars in parts, another Drive belt and fluid... The LS is coming home tonight.
I'm glad I didn't do the work though, because the old codger working on my timing belt said his Air Gun was struggling to remove the crank case bolt.
(How many lbs of torque do those Japanese honestly put on some of those bolts... just doesn't make sense.)

I don't have air tools so... where would I be then?
You're Right. Nowhere.

Well, it turned out to be a loose ground wire, they compared the timing to another LS and everything seemed fine, so if you guys are having any work done down there and the shop says it ain't running right after putting it back together.... do what I did:
Tell them to check the timing again
and tell them to check the grounds on the block.

Hopefully she'll be A-Okay today when I pick her up.

Summary:
Timing belt plus tensioner and pulley around $120
Water Pump around $130
Pump/fan support bracket $180
AC retrofit $130
another Tensioner $50
Drive Belt $50
Fluids and a new Radiator Cap $??
Labor around $300
+ Pain in the axe stubborn bolts $priceless
--------------------------
Just over a $1000 total.

We'll find out today fellas.
Sorry I couldn't get to the shop and get a pic of that Fan Bracket.
Anyone with a Pic please post one for the group.
