Whutzit Worth ???
Ok this is just for fun...and I'm lookin'around.
you can quote book prices, shamens, uncles,
markets, friends,whatever.
What would you pay for 1 owner 2000 LS... spotless...
Heated, Chrome, Nav.,
with 15,000 miles?
I would say...
$ 25K, Close? Way off?

Hmmm 430? Is that made by Lexus too?
It CAN'T be as cool as an LS400!
-Bob
Ok 1 for 20K and less (dont forget to vote.)
and 1 25K out of demented lust.
What do you think?

The price a used car brings is dependent on what people are willing to pay -- it is completely market driven. I bought one of the original LS400's shortly after they came out in 1989 but I have never liked the LS430 and could not bring myself to buy one when I needed to replace the 90 LS in 2003 -- and the local Lexus dealer offered me a stunning deal on a new LS430. Instead I bought a low mileage 2000 LS400. I'll bet there are other people like me who would rather buy a very low mileage used 2000 LS400 at a premium price instead of an LS430.
But I really, really like the LS460 short wheel base sedan and that will likely be what we will buy when it comes time to replace our 2000 LS400 in about 4 - 6 years.
To address your question, yes I might be willing to pay $25,000 to buy a "spotless" 2000 LS400 if it was a one-owner car, the color I require (white), flawless and accident free, Platinum Series, and if it included all other available options including air suspension. But I am not in the market for another LS400.

Seriously Kansas, You have the ultimate LS400. My 91 gave its life for me.
My Sc just not the same. So now I am heading for another LS
I am having some success in my search,
but am grateful for the input
of this thread to work out the value of such a car.
They DO exist.
I still think 24-25K is the number as of Aug.25th.2006
