Default 3rd brake light

I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the 3rd brake light on a 98-01 LS. I am not to sure and do not want to have to tear everything out of the trunk unless I have to. I went to the dealer and they wanted to charge me for an hours labor to change the bulb. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Craig

It gets changed from inside the car on the rear deck, no need to even open your trunk at all.
Wedge a flat head screwdriver along the plastic cover panel (parallel with the seat) at each side there are two tabs that you have to push towards the back of the car and the plastic cover will pop up. Do it slowly and you should have no problem.

Sharp,

Thanks your idea worked perfectly. Only problem was when I put it back together the other bulb blew. I was wondering if you knew how to remove the yellow side markers on the front I looked behind the bumper and saw what looked like two bolts coming out of it. I was just wondering if I have to remove those or is there an easier way.

Thanks again,

Craig

Your welcome on the third brake light.
As far as the side marker....yes, the bulb gets changed by removing the two nuts from behind the bumper.

Sharp,
Thanks for info, I just searched and found this. Gotta love this forum, would have taken me a long time to figure this out and instead took 10 seconds to remove the 3rd brake light.
