If you do, use something like BK44 or Chevron Techron. But, be sure to use it only in the last or next-to-last tankful of fuel prior to an oil change because the chemistry of the effective cleaners, when burned and "blown by" into the oil causes a significant viscosity increase in the oil over time, which isn't good for the engine. So, use it, then get the contaminated oil out of there.

Also be aware that many fuel injector cleaners and fuel system cleaners are just like many of the octane boosters on the market -- not worth the time it takes to pour them in.

What is the suspected problem?

While injectors can clog, many of the additives in todays major brand fuels keep them reasonably clean.

Might want to look at:
Throttle body
02 sensors
ignition wires/plugs
Inspect the plugs. This is a good indicator of what is occuring in the combustion chamber.
