Keyless Entry
Hello, it's me again. I had one more question about my 91 LS 400. When I purchased it, the keyless entry was inoperative. It seems to me that that battery is dead in the key and was wondering where to get a battery or if the whole key needs replaced. I have tried the re-programming procedure and it it does not help. Any input on this would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Theres a small screw on the plate of the key. Just remove it and carefully pry the plate off... go to walmart and get a battery for about 2 bucks.
never underestimate the durability of these japanese electronics... one of my two remote keys was sitting in a mud puddle for about a month this winter... and i ran it over several times... and after removing it, replacing the battery and cleaning it carefully, it still works fine.

Thanks for the feedback, I opened the key last night. Both the screw and battery were missing. I went to Wal-Mart and found the right battery. It is a 3 volt lithium watch battery part# 1216. It can be purchased in the watch dept. for $2.95 with tax. I did however have a hard time finding a screw. I ended up going to a hobby shop and found a small screw that fit. Thanks again for the input.
