00 Ls400 front brake pads install help???

00 Ls400 front brake pads install help???
I took the brake apart to do some powder coating but forgot to look at the orientation of the brake pads. There is a picture link , it not that good but you can see that one side of the brake pad have a small dip, i would like to know if this is going toward the front of the caliper or the back or it does not matter at all?
