Default front right brake pad screeching on and off

this has been happening for a while now

the front right brake is screeching during a medium speed stop or slow down
sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesnt
but more often than no

it can get quite loud when screeching

not sure whats going on

anyone got suggestions?

i think the car is still on its first set of brake pads

check the pads? how do they look? might be wearing unevenly with the other side and making the indicator touch the rotor.

excess brake dust can cause the sound, solution is to take the brake pads off, get some compressed air and blow as much of the brake dust off, then re grease with brake quiet solution on the brake pads. since u have the brake pads off, take a look and inspect them for any cracks on the surface, or any weird wearing. you might as well inspect the rotor too sometimes the brake pad is slightly smaller than the rotor thus when it wears the rotor down, there is a little lip at the edge that develops. because its not a complete flat surface anymore, u might get a slight squeal.

but brake noise can be a number of things.

i live in an apartment and strata doesnt allow ppl to work on cars in the garage so i cant take the wheels off yet

is it possible to use compress air can to clean the dust off with wheels still on?
or will that NOT be effective at all?

should be ok
im not going to walmart to get it changed lol
i trust this mechanic im going to
hes an old school drifter from japan and ive recommended ppl to him b4
things have worked out well

quite a reputable mechanic/tuner in my city
and very knowledgeable about JDM cars and tuning them

hopefully the rotor is still good
im not feeling any pulsations when braking yet so thats a good sign right?

ive been thinking about stainless steel braided brake lines while at it
is that a good upgrade?
