The article states 470HP for the GS350GT and 600HP for the LS500GT. Awesome power, especially if the GS will get 60MPG and the LS 50MPG. But where can all the power be used? Other than being "Halo" cars for Lexus technology, how many cars will Lexus sell at over $100K? The current LS430 with 290HP does 0-60 in 5.9 sec. It goes like stink, so what is doubling the horsepower going to do to the performance? I think the HP war is getting a little out of hand. Wouldn't it be enough to add a 200HP electric motor to the current 4.3L which would total 490? That would give plenty power and even improve the fuel mileage more. I would like to see Lexus offer hybrid technology on the base LS and GS also, rather than just on the $100K flagship.
