Default clime control display swap

I'm curious, would a 93-94 climate control display fit a 90-92 model ?
The reason I ask is because the 93-94 models had different LCD in their climcate controls versus earlier models. Are the connectors in the back the same ? has anyone tried swapping them before and would the swap work without any electrical problems ?
thx.

they're different only in appearance arent they ? with the clock and the temp display divided in the 93-94. all the other buttons are exactly the same. if someone has them both perhaps they could try swapping and see if they work...?

never mind the my suggestion of swapping.
It could cause short circuiting and or damage to the electrical system if they're not identical components.

Yes they are different, that's why my tutorial is only for 1990-1992 models: http://www.lexls.com/climateLCDscreen.html.

Jim Walker is working on LCD screens for 1993-1994 models I believe. I installed one of his LCD's in my 91 and it's perfect. Contact Jim if you want to know if and when the 93-94 screens will be available. I haven't talked to him for months. If you do get word please post.

just so everyone in this forum knows, these displays by mikado, who originally charged 300 for these blacked out displays are selling them on ebay. I guess they have more than enough and can't have enough customers to ship them and do the fix. It's being sold for an average of $110 on ebay. here's an example of the most recent one I've watched from start till end of auction.
