Default Does extremely-dark tint affect the GPS/Navigation system?

I heard that metallic-tint can affect the GPS system. Does the standard, but extremely dark (let's say, 5%), tint affect the GPS? Thanks.

Not sure. But I have noticed that the GPS is off by a few yards in hilly areas sometimes.

The tint lessens the navigation antenna reception.

On the '03 LS, the GPS receiver for the NAV is just under the top center of the dash (just behind the display). So as long as there isn't metallized tint on the front windshield you shouldn't have reception problems. If you have Lexus Link, there is a second GPS receiver for that system under the rear package tray just to the right of the center stop lamp. If you have metallized tint on the rear windshield, you could have reception problems with that unit but again, that's just isolated to Lexus Link. I have ceramic-based tint (the best for heat/UV rejection) and I have no problems with either system.
