Lightbulb Are seat transplants possible for a second gen (1996))

So, long story short some absolute piece of garbage STOLE my passenger seat while I was installing my new radio..... Ugh. And I know these seats aren't easy to find. at all. With this being said, there is a couple GS300/400 from roughly the same time period being parted out in my area. Nothing yet for an actual LS seat that would be a direct fit for a 96'. So I'm curious, has anybody ever put in non-matching seats before? Such as, from a GS, a facelift LS, a first gen, etc? I would really like to retain the ability to actually move and adjust the seats, so electrical compatibility definitely matters too, but I'm also not scared to wire it myself besides the possibility of setting off the air bag...I've already searched the forums for this topic so either my search terms aren't correct or this is somewhat of a niche question. Idk. Let me know your thoughts pls

This thread has some answers.

tl;dr best case scenario you're doing wiring and electrical work, middle case including some physical fabrication of mounting points, worst case is the seat physically won't fit for a variety of reasons. Sadly not clear answers

Good news is, at least its the passenger seat. Much easier to find a nice condition one of those versus the drivers seat.

.

hmm. understood. safety is a priority so I don't see myself doing the three mount hole method. Might jump on some $100 GS seats in a couple days so I will update with any info I can get. Trying to think of ways to safely mount these seats without drilling a new hole.

Anything is possible. Question is, are you willing to spend the $$ to make it happen?

I actually have 2.5 sets of seats now hahaha, ended up signing up for a text list for my specific model at my local junkyards and got a set then, then after that found some pretty decent quality ones that were at the very least better than what I started with a couple months later and got them for very cheap from a guy who flipped / parted insurance vehicles. I guess in totality I got lucky, my interior is in way better condition than when I started.
