Default Hanger Hook

Sounds silly but did your GX470s come with any kind of hook to hang clothes on in the back seat. We only have the passenger handles. Was there supposed to be a hook attached to those handles?

If you don't have the 3rd row seats, there are coat hooks in the back cargo area. There are no hooks on the handles in the back seat. If you have the 3rd row seats, I don't think there are any coat hooks although I could be wrong.

I with you Rx900!!

I too am glad I did not get the 3rd row seats! Worthless unless you have very small kids! They just take up valuable space.

My truck has plenty of room in the back even though it came with the third row seats. However, there is less room in my closet now

I agree with you gs400jon, both in the truck and/or in the basement they just take up space! Lexus should just have the rear A/C option, add heating to it and ditch the 3rd row seat. Much more useful!

yeah cuz there's only 3 of us in the family, or in the house, that needs a ride, so only 3 seats r needed, no need for a third row. besides, where am i gona keep them when i remove it for more space?

You may have seen one of my posts elsewhere, that I did get some concessions (free or true dealer cost) from the dealer since all KDSS trucks in the Western Region come fully loaded with options. The one I liked best was asking for a rear cargo mat for a truck with no third row seats, so there are no slits in the carpet where the those seats are secured.

Good for you! How receptive was your dealer to your requests and what options were they willing to negotiate? When I was looking it also seemed like you had to get 3rd row seats if you wanted any of the other options.

Well, the deal was for $3K off MSRP way back in September, whatever that ended up to be, for a KDSS equipped truck. I didn't have to put down a deposit, which was nice. After monitoring the allotment schedules for a few months, it became apparent that EVERY KDSS truck also came with Nav/ML, Rear Seat Entertainment and third row seats. Since the dealer knew I didn't want the RSE and third row, they gave me the front end mask, chrome wheels, all-weather mats, spoiler at cost and $500 off of MagnaShield. The heatshield and non-third row cargo mat were freebees. They still made a ton off me but I was determined to have KDSS and felt a little bit better about my purchase when all was said and done

Sounds like you got a great deal! I know back then and in February when I got mine there was a waiting list for GX's and they were not discounting them very much, if at all. I waited 4 weeks for mine, put a deposit down without even driving one! They did not have one for me to drive since everyone one they got was already bought. I mentioned KDSS and they told me you had to get every option and that would add more time on the order, which I did not have. Oh well, it gives me something to look forward to on the next one!

The big demand for GX's around the end of the year was caused by the pending closure of the tax break loophole for 6000+ gross vehicle weight trucks. My dealer was selling all the GX's they could get at full MSRP during that time.

just wondering, since u have kdss, does ur gx lean? I dont know much about the gxs that have kdss so im just wondering if it is the KDSS that causes it to lean or the air suspension itself.

I took to the tape when first seeing the thread about leaning GX's. Mine is even (well, under an eighth of an inch difference, worst case) , front and back. But like I said in another thread, it's hard to believe there's such a variation in build quality considering all the trucks are coming out of a single factory.
