Default Straight pipe

Has anyone done the straight pipe from resonator? Is it a good sound? Currently did the rear two.

I just deleted the rear 4 mufflers and added my custom made 2.5" mandrel Js welded together and some Magnaflow mufflers and resonated tips. It doesn't drone at all when on the highway and its pretty mellow until I get on it.

The automatic kills exhaust for me. Too much the torque converter will just sit at a stable(ish) rpm and won't rise, fall, and rise again.

I'm looking into doing something with the intake. I had the plastic air diverter off, with just the exposed air filter to the hot engine bay, and it sounded wonderful. Just the right volume, tone changes as you modulate the throttle, great noise build, no drone.

when i had my LS i removed the rear mufflers only and i liked the sound (and it was free). fumes were an initial concern but it didn't really bother me surprisingly! pretty quiet, and there are lots of videos on YT.

all mufflers removed sounds pretty cool, but i'm sure there will be drone - being tolerable would be subjective.

once i decided this was a good permanent setup i had my mechanic weld some piping in place just so the exhaust wasn't ending underneath the car... but these engines are so efficient and clean burning i can't imagine there'd ever be an intolerable amount of fumes lol
