I am trying to modify my 97 LS 400 little by little. Now im at the point where my headlights and tailights are old and I want some after market ones. If you guys have any great suggestions that's not too expensive that would be great.
I have nothing to add here other than, as another driver on the road, please make sure you aim them correctly! I see cars with aftermarket headlights that are just blinding the **** out of you far too often. Though, the OEM ones are doing it too these days...
Nothing against you personally, just a broader comment. Good luck on the swap!

I know nothing about headlights. My only advice is, with automotive stuff, you get what you pay for.
Sadly, these cars are old, so your options are very limited.
The "Candy Cane"/Zenki tail lights that are red and clear are hard to acquire
There are custom LED tail lights that cost over $900
There are full clear tail lights that you can DIY if you buy lenses online or buy as a set, but they are very expensive
For headlights, the only options I see now are "clear lens" variants, but those are $500+
The clear turn signal lenses are about $70 and seem to be the easiest/cheapest items to acquire
All of these were readily available 10-20 years ago.
the only non-OE headlights you can get are called "eagle eye" headlights: they replace the standard "fluted" versions with "clear". not sure if they have overstock on them but check ebay.
Hello all,

Thanks,
Old?? On my 1995 headlights are made of durable and long lived glass and the light is strong and perfect. If they where faded plastic type you can polish them and apply UV protective coating very cheaply -
No need to change them ever probably. I have no clue why you would want to.
