Hey everyone! couple months back i talked about a clunking noise and vibrating on my car, i have a 1996 ls400 and the noise is still here! so i finally got a chance to check up on my rear end and i took a video, im fairly positive its the differential mounts that need to be replaced and the noise in hearing is the differential hitting the rear end of my car! at least that’s what it looks like to me in the video, if anyone’s dealt with this before please let me know! now the vibration! i’m 100% positive i need to replace my rear driveshaft flex disc! could this be the cause to my vibrations? the thing is every time i’m coming to a stop the whole car vibrates and it makes the noise again! it feels as if it relieves the pressure and the diff hits in the back! does anyone have any sort of experience with this?
If you were trying to post a video, it didn't come through.
Bad news though - if the differential mounts are shot it's not trivial to replace them. Like, I think you need to drop the rear subframe levels of not trivial. Maybe some wizard with a good shop can rig up something to replace them in-place but I've almost never seen the job being done so honestly I'm not sure.

ive heard about using windo weld in place of the bushing, i’m not sure how well it holds up. has anyone here tried that before?
