I have 2000 ls 400 that is experiencing a bad ecu problems, the engine is running weird and the odometer is turning off and on. When i opened the ecu and checked there we're no leaking capacitors nor messed things. some ago i bought a used ecu from sga on ebay but i didn't know i had an immobilizer in my car. i tried having a locksmith program it but the still wouldn't turn over. what should i do for my next step.

 

Really the ECU?
The odometer is driven by the ABS computer, you know?

 

I’m pretty sure it’s the ecu because I’m having issues with how the engine is running, bad mpg, sounds louder than usual odometer, shooting different codes bad acceleration.

 

Could you inform us those different codes?
Have you checked the ripple level?
