Default 1998 LS400 Deceleration Sensor

Hello all,

Does anyone know how to access and replace the deceleration on a 1998 LS400? I know that it is located behind the dash but I have not been able to find any instructions or details about how to access it. Mine needs to be replace and I have purchased a replacement, just dont know how to attack it.

Thanks!

Once again I thoroughly appreciate the response, but this is how I found out that it is under the dash, however I cant find anymore instructions about how to get to it or what I need to remove to access it. I cant find it in the owners manual either or any documentation about it unfortunately. I have seen a thread on here where someone removed a center console and he was told that it was further inside, behind an air vent. But that thread had no further responses about what he had to do next or where it ended up being

Did you remove the whole air duct? Without doing so, you can't see and access the sensor.

You are welcome.
There is one more thing I need to inform you. Sometimes the voltage GL1/GL2 is both very low or 0V due to the reason that the voltage supply VGS(5.0V) is disabled by the ABS/VSC computer. In this case, the troubleshooting is not easy.
