Nightmare Crank No Start Issue
Picked up a 97 LS400 for $1500 the other day, alternator went dead, shortly after installing the new alternator on the drive home, all hell broke loose. All lights in interior flashing, rough shifting 1st to 2nd, loss of power in drivetrain, until eventually the car shut off completely whilst trying to limp it home. Main fuse was blown, replaced main fuse, no start with crank. Initially thought fueling issue, replaced fuel pump, no start with crank. Replaced ignition fuse, main fuse, starter relay, main relay. Starter relay has 443 amps of resistance. Personally I feel like all signs lead to electrical failure or ECU. I knew well and truly that it would be a project, but I’m considering just sending it off to a shop at this point when I’d much rather fix it myself. Any ideas on what I should test for?
edit #1, car turns over on starter fluid spray, have only done it once because when I did I instantly heard pre det knock so I pinched the hose.

Quite a few people here have capacitor problems with the ECU on first gen LS400's, do a search for it.
"Starter relay has 443 amps of resistance." Yikes!!
