From the pictures you've posted I can see you at least have the heated ultrasonic mirrors and leather (obviously.) I'd say yours is otherwise a pretty typical example of the Type C.

Interesting that the two lowest mileage 89-94s on this board of late are both brown with brown leather interior. I think it's a really sharp spec.

I'm right behind you, I got mine last year April 1 at about 54k miles and I've just passed 62k a little while ago. Since mine's kilometers I get to see all the 9s roll over to 0s that much more often, you have to love a mechanical odometer for that. I think my repair costs are about the same as you've had too. Despite how thirsty these are by my calculation these are far cheaper to run than financing a modern base model Corolla- in my case it worked out that the total cost of gas, insurance, and recurring maintenance was less per month than just the payment on a new economy car.

Hoby, I don't know why you decided to include the info regarding the scuff marks and acetone, but I was scrubbing that exact spot on my LS460 with leather cleaner 3 days ago with NO success. Thank you for the acetone suggestion, will pickup some today and try that instead. I love this forum...

For some reason as I was writing it came to mind. My interior was pretty much perfect except for those heel marks. glad to share.Goof off is a strong similar cleaner also.
Use with great caution and read the label prior to use.

Great caution! Always have a stopping agent right behind the cleaning agent. I use Meguiar's Leather Cleaner on a cloth as the stopper after Goof Off. Goof Off can melt the grain right off vinyl if you rub. Don't. Just a blotting action followed by the chemical stop.

Some of these LS400 cars may have to sit for another 50 years to compare to this one.

Kram 1990 LS400 update. Since last time I posted I installed all new leather interior did all normal maintenance and everything is either replaced, lubed, cleaned and as of now needs nothing, my 1990 LS400 is in new conditions with no dings on the passenger side and only a very small few on the drivers side. The paint is like new and it runs and drives like it did off the show room floor, it has 99,870.0:miles on it as is 9-30-19. I also have a 1993 ls400 parts car in great shape I purchased for 750.00:for spare parts a friend needed but can't find the pink slip so I have to give it away to someone that can use all the parts, I would drive this car 3000 miles without opening the hood that's how great the parts car is, read my older post about the car. I don't know how to post my car pictures so any help would be appreciated, I really would like people to see what a all original car looks like and how great the wheels are too. Please help me get the pictures to you and if anyone can use the parts car just let me know and leave your number and all contacts. No money needed just a good home. Thanks. I live in south lake Tahoe California and will get back to you asap.
