I know someone who has a MB 1987 420SEL with 17,000 miles.
The car has been garage kept, all stickers still inside the car
(except window sticker) and the interior is basically new. I think
it still has the original tires!

before given to a cousin my Uncle among his car collection (including a jeep cherokee with a c5 corvette engine swap, running through all wheels) had a bought one of the first LS400 available in 89 and has been kept in one of his many garages since then except for a few drives. 196 miles.

I took my LS for the mandatory safety inspection yesterday. Nothing wrong with it, but the mechanic and shop owner was sharp eyed and he caught that the headliner has began to separate slightly at the rear windshield, driver side.

They all do after 10 years he said. My wive's 1990 LS got it. Then we started talking about the 1990 which his wife loves to own but hates to drive in dense Honolulu traffic, so after over 14 years, the car only has 7,000 miles!

My 90 has 64K on it and my 95 has 14.5K on it. Both cars are in incredible condition. Best cars ever.

my 1990 LS400 was purchased in 1989 but I did not take delivery until June of 1990, the # 623 on the door is low but the mileage today 7-23-15 is 93220.0 I HAVE DONE ALL REPAIRS MYSELF AND CAN DO ANYTHING ON THE CAR BLIND FOLDED. BEST CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED. I OWN A 2003 RX300 - 2004 RX330 - 1990 ls400 - and you name it and I have replaced - repaired - lubed - and the timing belt I have done at 60,000.0 and 90,000.0 miles. I love to work on this car. Reason I did the timing belt was it was used very little from 1999 to 2008 only 30,000.0 miles and is so easy to do so why not.Kram

Would be interesting to see the low mileage cars still out here. This thread was dead for about 11 years, so an update would be pretty cool.

36,000 on my 2000. I put about 3,000 on in the first month and a half of ownership.

Understand mine is a second gen but at this point we should be able to lump them all into this thread.

I have a1990 LS400 with all the best stuff 1 owner me and I just turned 98,000,0 at 90,000.0 I decided to do everything on the car you name it and I either lubed it replaced it or rebuilt it and even though the car was in great shape I wanted a new LS400 the only thing not done is the interior still like new and so is paint I love this car and it has never not started and no I have not replaced the starter and have not had the power steering problems that I read about but since I do all my repairs I have fixed all the little problems that the first year cars had and it only cost me about 900.00 to do everything including all new strut assy with all new coil springs for 89.00 per wheel. Best 42,000.00 I have ever spent . that was a lot of money 27 years ago, and still a lot of money today. lexus is still a good value for the dollar. I still have the spare tire and it still has the same air in it that it came with and still holds 6 LBS pressure of air and it has never been on the ground I only drive it about 100 miles a month from November to end of may then it off till end of october

I have 82,100 on my 2000 LS400. I am the 2nd owner and the car is like new. It's amazing how well built these cars are. Closing the driver's door is like what closing the door on the space shuttle must feel like.

I have 73 ,700 on my 1999. I got it in December 2017 from the first owner. He had bought it as a gift to himself for retiring at 65 but passed in early
2017. As I closed the transaction with her (widow) and her son in law at the bank, an older guy asked us if we wanted to sell, as his, according to him, BMW SUV could not stay out of the shop. She told me to treat the car well as they had enjoyed many good family road trips. She put her hand on the top drivers side door and said goodbye "Betsy". Kinda got me a little. I am taking care of this car, it went from garage to garage. I will drive it more though.

I love this story. You drove away with almost 20 years of memories associated with that car.

Now that you bit, I have to get sappier. I am relegated to driving by as time progresses for them-her to see the car. I will. They are in Raleigh me in Durham. BTW acetone on a cotton cloth gets heel scuffs off lower part of seats, the one's folks put on just as they enter the car.

I'm not making any claims that my car is the lowest, but it just had its 26th Birthday, with only 37,200 miles (60,000 km) on the clock
