Default Road Noise

1993 LS400 80,000 miles. Put 4 new Pirelli P4000 tires on about 6 months ago. Road noise (tire noise?) has been increasing steadily. Are these tires known to be noisy? Is something else causing the noise? Appreciate any thoughts on the subject.

I had always been told that Pirelli makes a harder tire than most. You might want to visit tirerack.com and read the reviews for your model of tire. They have a a pretty good thing going with lots of customer feedback and even charts that show tread life, driveability, road noise, etc.

Hey bro, I just got my 4th set of Pirelli P6000 sports taken off my car.
They are great tires, but wear waayy to fast for me, and are very very
loud. I just got a set of Dunlop 2000 sports put on it now. After close
to 90K on pirelli's, the dunlops are a world of difference.

Thanks for your thoughts.. Here is some follow up - noise turned out to be bad wheel bearing (I think). will post when I know fror sure. I jacked up car and spun wheels to determine this. - HERM
