Default free hp - honeycomb removal

i took the gold grate or whatever it is off but there is still the honeycomb on so remove that as well.

its safe to do right?

Uh, no.

It serves a purpose. The MAF type is a karmann vortex. The honey comb is an air-flow straightener.

Taking this out can cause the MAF to compute bad readings and possibly a check engine light as if you unplugged the MAF completely.

Can I ask you why tell people to do something, then ask if it's safe or not?

The gold plating smoothens the air, if you take it out your will stall out at stop lights.

ru serious? i thought that was just more b/s to let less air into the engine?
oh well thats always been out

I have tried it before and my car kept stalling out at everystop. I didnt even notice any power change in any way.

looks like u juss came over from the dsm community... not all the dsm mods are applicable for the 1UZFE.. so make sure u ask before u mod.
