Unhappy 6k HID Kit Problem

Hi,

My 6k HID kit (got from Jason, 9006 base) has some problem. I noticed that the passenger side is dimmer when commparing to the driver side. I had emailed Jason for the replacement ballast, but he hadn't responded to my email so far. Is Jason still in business to support the HID kit which is still under his 1 year warranty ??

Thanks,

Ching-Ho Cheng

Good question....Im not sure if he has spare parts....since selling these kits are "illegal" now.

Yes,

He said that too a couple months ago. But now, I am looking for under warranty parts from him, and he hasn't responded to my email yet for about 2 weeks.

Well....maybe there's an explanation for his delay in responding to you. He's always been a straight up guy....even returned me some $ since I had to wait so long for my kit due to shipment arriving late.

I would send a second follow-up e-mail just in case......Most of these guys get so much e-mail that sometimes it may get misdirected.

Unhappy

Just got the respond back from Jason. It was a sad news. Jason no longer stocks rebased bulbs nor the ballast with the rebased connector due to the HID ban. He can only send me the regular ballast (with standard HID connector) and then I have to do the connector splicing myself. No more bulb support!!!!

Yes, it is the Philips ballast. However, the one Jason supports is the same excepted that the connector with the red plastic band is the regular type not the rebased type.

Therefore, for the rebased bulbs that we have, we need to cut the existing rebased connector from our kit and splices the rebased connectors to the ballast.

Jason is going to send me the OEM type Philips ballast sometimes this week. I will have to modify the bulb connector to work with the rebased bulb.

I had the same problem when I installed my HID's at first. I fiddled with it and then just left it alone. About a week or two later, it cleared it self up. I guess they just had to break in.
