My problem is the reverse. It worked fine in the begining, then now, it is dimmer on the passenger side when comparing to the driver side. It doesn't clear it so far. That's why I ask Jason for another ballast since the rebased 9006 bulb is no longer avaliable from him.

I received the replacement ballast from Jason yesterday. To me, the ballast didn't look like new at all. It looked like a used one from a car. It is a ballast from Hella not Philips as in the HID kit. The ballast iself has many scratchs and dust from road. On the back of the ballast, someone wrote "Audi" on it. I haven't tried the ballast but I would think that my replacement is a new ballast not a one from a used car !!!!!

Thats not right!! Did he say he was sending a new one or just sending this one for you to try?
I dont like the sounds of this......

 

In his email, he said that he just got a new shippment of ballast with the standard connector (not rebased connector). I told him to send me that ballast with the statndard connector. Then I received "that" ballast yesterday.

I looked at the ballast more carefully this morning and found out that the top of the ballast had the Audi logo on it and a bunch of numbers. So, this is a ballast from an Audi definitely, and it is used.
