Default ORANGE BULB (Chrome Covered) Stealth

Last summer I cleared out the orange lens on my car (lower turn signals). I purchased and installed the orange bulb. When I put everything back on my car you could still see the orange bulb and it looked like I never even cleared out the lens. I was alittle mad........ cause it was a waste of time and money.

Yesterday I saw the Bulb but it was Chrome Covered at an auto store 3 hour drive away from where I live. I had seen these in mags but I didnt want to special order them. One was all chrome covered $21 each.
The other one Top only Chrome Covered with orange still showing bottom part. $15 each

I asked them if I could get one put on my car so I could see what it looked like on the car and when the bulb was blinking. I didnt want to spend $21so I wanted to see if the $15 ones would look good. After they put them on for me I looked at them and could not see any orange at all. LOOKED GREAT. I then turned on my turn signal and took a look it flashed orange. I was HOOKED I told them I will buy them. I should of done this when I seen them 1st advertised in the VIP mags.

They are called STEALTH made by RAYBRIG.......

The picture is just an example of the turn signals I have.

Yeah, go with the ones that are half chromed...the ones that are fully chromed limits a lot of the light output and makes it look not as bright as the half chromed version when it blinks. I got ones that were painted metallic silver on the top half for $8 each. You wouldn't know I had colored bulbs in my turn signals unless I had them on.

I think Philips makes a similar bulb called the SilverVision, though I'm not sure how easy they are to find in the US.

Hmmm, do what I did for my mom's BMW clear corners....just take the orange bulbs out and paint them with a light coat of Rustoleum (sp?) high temperature silver paint, which you can pick up at any Home Depot (or similar store). Make sure you coat as light as possible...let dry and put it back in. You won't see the orange reflections in the lense anymore, but once you turn it on, it shines orange...though a tad bit duller.

thanks for all the info..........

Im kicking myself in the butt for not getting these last year. If I hadnt seen these at the store I would still be driving around with the ugly orange bulb showing.

Hopefully this info helps others.

I really would like them, but the 2002 ES uses a 7440 wedge bulb. Can't find that in silvervision.....yet.

I also put in the stealths last year sometime. Pretty happy with them. They look way better than a plain orange bulb..
