A LONG time. At least 6-8 years under normal use.

Wow my car is 5 years old now - hopefully my HIDs will be on the high end of that time-line. BTW, anyone knows how much it is to replace stock HIDs?

"The life span of a Xenon bulb equals that of the car, which means that the bulb will not wear out under normal usage."

This excerpt is from the Philips website. As for OEM HID....Im sure the life span is comparable.

Your looking at 250-350 a pair depending where you go for replacements.

Acutally, you can grab a set of HID 4100K Philips or Osram bulbs D2S or D2R for around 60-100.00 new on Ebay if you do a search and have patience. I bought some Osram 4100K D2S bulbs for 60.00 shipped back in November

That's a risk well worth taking IMO!
