Default Puddle lights help

Hey guys, I am wanting to attempt the puddle light mod this weekend on my 2016 es 350, part of me is excited and part of me is very nervous. Has anyone done this on there car? How hard is it and do you guys have any tips? Can you please help me as I've been holding off on this for quite a while now.

Default Pud Lamps

I've done this before....it is easy.....just grab your glass on the outside mirror and pull it off. Pull upwards and towards you. It will pop off and hang from the wires. It will expose the 4 screws that you need to unscrew to take the plastic housing apart. Unscrew them and take the two pieces apart carefully watching the lens on the bottom so it won't fall out. That is where the puddle lamp is exposed to the outside so you will see it too. Watch carefully how you take it out so you will remember how to put it back. Then unplug and replace with new bulb and put it back together. You will put the glass mirror back on the opposite way you took it off. So push the top in and get it to hook and then snap the bottom in place. Don't be scared to handle this stuff. Its pretty tough so unsnap it with confidence.......you won't break it. Take your time lining up the two outside mirror housing pieces with the puddle lamp snapped into them....you will see we you put it back together. Now you got this....enjoy!!!

Stop holding off. I did it today so freaking easy the difficulty is greatly exaggerated. These mirrors will not break I promise you. Used the precision led video. And use a pry tool as shown in the video. Here is a before and after

I'm sorry for the confusion I thought you meant the VIP style puddle upgrades that some do on the forum. I have done the mirror one several times. Just put an old credit card and pried the under clear light protector off. You have to be really careful and go slow so you don't crack it. Both sides will take 20-30 mins max from start to finish. Did it to both my LS430's. Your upgrade looks good as well.

YES, they will INDEED break! This light was obviously not designed to come out. There are no videos anywhere on YouTube or anything. I tried to pull the light out from the bottom like I did on GS350 and it refused to come out and I could see glue on the light fixture. Pulled the front of the mirror off and now it won't go back on. It is indeed broken, this on a car I have only had for 10 days. Now I have buy a new mirror and see how hard that installation is going to be. I know the door panel will have to come off, that I'm certain off!
