Default Headlight Problem

My headlights(set in auto mode) will not turn off after I exit the car, lock the doors and press the lock button again. They will eventually turn off but I can not manually make this happen with the key. Has anyone had a similar problem. Also when I unlock my doors my interior light does not come on anymore.

Thanks

Yes I press the lock button twice and they stay on. I just got the car out of the shop and this problem was supposedly fixed but when I got in my garage and tried it, the lights stayed on. You would think they would have tested that before they returned my car. I'll be calling them bright and early tomorrow morning. I just wanted to know if this had happened to anyone else.

Yes I tried that too. Let me give some background on when I discovered the problem. I took my car to the dealership because when my back passenger door(bpd) would open the interior light would not come on. They were aware of that problem and replaced some type of door module. When I took the car home after that I discovered the headlight problem. I never had the headlight problem before taking it in to fix the bpd, interior light problem. I always leave my lights in 'auto' so they come on every time I pull into the garage, so I knew exactly when this headlight problem occured which was right after the bpd fix.

DATGUY:

You need to have a Lexus Technician program the C-Best setting to shut the headlight off when driver door is open and the engine off.

If you need to know the available C-Best settings PM me your email address.
