Ok...I've searched the forums all day and not found an answer to this one...can you get replacement bulbs for the lighted vanity mirrors on the sun visors somewhere other than dealership? They almost look like a fuse...about 1 1/8 inch long with end caps on each side of the bulb. I am having no luck. Did I read a post that said the trunk light bulb was the same as these? Been reading too long!!! BTW..I have a 1992 SC300. Any help is appreciated, as I can't see to get my makeup on when it's dark!!! LOL!!

 

Go to your local NAPA store, show them the bulb and they will give you the replacment. Easy enough

 

Not quite so easy...this is a very unique bulb...says Koito on it, 12V 3W.
Napa guy looked at it, scratched his head, looked around for about 10 minutes and determined he has nothing like it (one similar but much bigger).
I have heard they are hard to find. Did I read someone suggested Tandy (Radio Shack)?
Anyone else know where to get them?

 

I think Radio Shack is your best bet....try Checkers Auto Parts too. If not...you might have to special order these bulbs. You should search the internet as well. There are some bulb sites that may have them....do you know what type they are?

I'm curious, did you try Toyota or Lexus? If you did, was the price so outrageous that you couldn't buy it from them.
