I bought a pair of those cheesey Phillips HID's about 5 or 6 months ago and now I've lost a headlight. I really don't want to buy these pieces of crap again. I'm looking to get my hands on real Lexus Xenons(should of done that in the first place)......does anybody know of where to look, or who to get in touch with? Also what would the damage be? Thanks!

Oh yeah, I'm also looking to put 18's on my car this spring, will it look stupid without lowering the car at all? Any ideas for rims?

Well, it might look alittle funny without it lowered, but that's my opinion. You may think it'll be fine.. Also I don't know what your talking about with Phillips HID's being cheap.. I've had mine for almost 10 months and they're still good as new.. Also many car manufactures use phillips bulbs for their HID's.. But here's a link to aguy who's selling those Lexus HID's you want...https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=76728

I guess I'm just a little pissed that I lost a headlight after just having them in for such a short time. I also seemed to be blinding a lot of people, but I guess that's cause there is no auto-leveling device.....

I don't know.. I don't have the auto-leveling either but I don't seem to blind people.. Can I ask you what happened to your light?? The way you make it sound, it's like the bulbs burnt a hole into the plastic or ruined the refector.. Or did they fry your wires??

To be honest with you I'm not sure. I took car to get it washed on Friday, and ever since my driver side headlight has been out. Now I'ver never had a problem with car washes before, but maybe the cold had something to do with it......I live in upstate NY. The lights themselves just seemed to be brighter than average HIDs.

hmmm, I don't know.. Maybe dring the carwash the ballast got wet.. And another thing, maybe the lights are put in wrong.. I've seen lights that point upward because one of the nipples are not on the housing correctly.. I don't know bro, just get a nre bulb and see if thay works...

Are you sure you had a Philips unit? A lot of cheap HID's are sold saying that they use Philips parts but they really don't...(especially the bulbs cuz it's hard to tell)

If you were blinding people, you might have had the bulb installed incorrectly or the adjustment on your headlight was off.

And yes, rims w/o lowering will look lame. It will look like a 4x4...at least get the L-tuned setup...

Would an inch lower do the trick?

With a 1" drop you'll still have a good size gap, but it'll still look a hell of alot better then stock..

a lot of times after you intall hid kit, one or both bulbs will be shooting too high. that's normal coz' you would push the housnig a bit that will affect the aim. just adjust it, it's easy
