So, I wanted to get some VIP puddle lights on my new GS. Monarch seems out of business. Nobody seems to be doing reviews on these things.

So who makes a focused, pure white (no blue; 5000K) puddle light with discrete non-blurred lightspots?

What I mean is this (Sffd103s car):



Not this:

 

Both look nice. Do you have it on during open door or turn on all the time? What parts you use and do you have any directions on installing it?

I found my puddle lights on ebay, it wasnt easy. I carefully snaked the wires thru the firewall and used 3m double sided tape to secure the dome shaped lights to the bottom, ... evenly.
The power source comes from the 12V power supply under your arm rest. Just remove the center console and splice the wires, carefully.
I admit my lights are not as tight and sharp as the photos you show, but they are LED.
