Hi guys/gals,

I hope this question doesn't sound stupid, but what makes the IS 300 fog lights give off a rich yellow color? Do the use HID technology or something. My gs 300 uses h3 bulbs and is there anything similar to that yellow? thanks

 

they have yellow lens to give out the yellow, and i think it's kinda projective so that's why it's quite rich in color

you can get the piaa ion yellow bulbs for your gs, not sure if they have it in h3 but that's your best bet. but still it won't be as yellow though

 

Bryan. Don't get those yellow H3 bulbs man. it doesn't look right. it looks totally different than have a yellow lens in front (like IS and GS that came with HID) Having a yellow lens in front of a clear bulb gives it a nice yellow tone. but if you get a yellow bulb it looks kinda funky.

Thanks for your responses. My stock fogs look pretty weak. You know what I mean JOhn? Also, are our fog lens just clear or is the bulb causing the lil bit of orange color?

 

I have regular projector HID fog lights. Indypwr is the one with IS fog lights on his GS. his lens are yellow with a clear bulb
