I ordered MY HID conversion kit from CATZ. I bought 4500 K kit. If I install the kit, i will post the pictures.

wait, i thought all new es300 have hid already?!

 

You can have HID when you order NAVIGATION unit to new ES.
I just have premium package on my car.

 

I have a 2002 ES with HIDs and no NAV system.

The sticker lists under "STANDARD EQUIPMENT" Multi-Reflector Headlamps w/ Integrated Foglamps,
under "INSTALLED OPTIONS" it lists High Intensity Discahrge Headlamps (HID) with Auto Leveling.......$640.00.

All the ES's on the lot had this option installed. The salesman said it was one of those standard options.

Is it standard or is it an option?

HID only comes with rain-sensing wiper,and you can get this option only when you order Navigation unit. This was what i heard from my salesperson.

 

oh that's very weird...... i got a loaner from lexus when my gs was in service. it's a new es300, no nav, but it has hid?!?!

 

I think your salesperson needs retraining.

True, the rain sensing wipers only come with HID option. But you don't have to have the Nav system to get the HID/wipers. (pg 47 or the 2003 ES300 brochure)

However, if I wanted the Mark Levinson sound system....now that only comes with the nav system.

It may be that that dealership only had HID/wipers setups on the ES's they had that had the NAV systems. So from that dealership you may only be able to get HID and NAV together.

bingo, that's why the car i drove didn't have nav but had hid

 

okay guys. i guess option varies by dealer and i guess all the chicago area dealership provides same kinda options i have been told.

 

that could be the case. i mean for example, on the is300, supposedly you can get is300 5 speed with no spoiler, or the graphite wheels. but almost in all the cases they through those stuff in to make the price competitive with the auto
