Default Security Blinking led dash light

Has anyone replaced the red flashing security led light on the dash, the red blinky light, with
another color, or maybe a larger led light? Please help. I'm wondering if it can be done without
taking out the entire NAV display. Thanks, I just registered and am new at this. Thanks again.

OK just thought you can just pop off the cover around the led and swap it out, but sounds like NAV panel has too come off. Thanks 9aristo!

I changed mine to blue in my 2007 ES350 and all I had to remove is the upper vents with the security light in it. Here's a pic.

9aristo is right you have to remove everything unfourtantly, if your going to go that far I would swap all dash LEDs, looks pretty killer! Here's a thread:

I'm envious of your white led clock, heres a good link for upgrading IS Model interior lighting. Hope it helps.

Great write-up! I did this on my E46 BMW, not easy a lot of tedious work-but worth it.
