Anyone here using Silverstar bulbs for their DRL?

I dont care for the yellow look of the DRL bulb in my 2001 GS300. It uses the 9005 High-beam bulb as the DRL with a fraction of the normal wattage.

How does Silverstar look while in DRL mode? Bluish or whitish is color? If you got pics.....can you post them.

i don't know about anyone else but mine look a little halogen still (when used as DRLs). and at night (when i am driving with them on) they look green on the road! i havent looked at them straight on at night so i dunno. i am wanting to try something else i think. i will send some pics to you later this evening, if you like, and you can decide for yourself.

 

actually if you look at my pics on the WWW link you can see kinda what i am talking about. it is on the top row 3rd one over. i will take a pic at night too for further reference.

 

The silverstars look the same as the stock DRLs. You can only see the difference when you switch on the highbeams.
