Piaa IOn Yellow!!in Action
Here you go guys!
I asked you guys for advice... and I took it.
I put PIAA ION YELLOW fog lights in my car. And here (if it works) is the picture.
I have 2 Questions.
1.I keep hearing about the "taking out the yellow out of fog
lights" what does that mean? do I have to do it to get a better light quality?
2.I need something for my Parking lights. I was thinking of PIAA
EXTREME WHITE wedge 168. Will it look good with my SYLVANIA
SILVERSTAR?
thanx

With shipping it came to about $106.00
from AUTODYNAMIC.com ....got it in about a week. I am very
pleased with the quality. Not as BRIGHT AND YELLOW as stock
but I am not spending $400 to 500 on them.

The ION Crystal lights look good.
On to your question about "taking the yellow out". What peopl are referring to is the GS4 (or GS3 w/factory HID) foglights. They are yellow from the factory (Clear lenses with a yellow glass sleeve inside) The bulb fits into the sleev thus producing the "proper"(this is a topic for debate) fog amber/yellow color. Some members have decided to "opt" out of the yellow foglight with HID's and in DIY fashion break and remove the inner yellow sleeve to produce plain old white light.
Personally, I like the yellow, the clear lights are great as a set of auxillary lights or whatever, but with HID's you shouldn't need a set of clears, the yellow provides the appropriate contrast needed for fog. To each his own though.

I agree. However, I replaced my wedge bulbs with ION crystal (amber) so that my park lights are now amber as well as my fogs. This picture is not of my car, but it is the one that gave me my inspiration. BTW, the picture does no justice. They look better in person.
